Okay, so there's this annoying issue where the adventure controls are combined with the menu controls. How can I fix this? Also, the mouse doesn't do anything in-game.

Has anyone had these issues? If so, please help me out. I just got this game two days ago and haven't really been able to properly play it.

Thank you very much.

I have an issue that may or may not be this. Some controls don't do anything in my game. That's especially noticeable and annoying during fistfights. I would like an answer as well...
I had major issues with the controls because I didn't realize that my game pad plugged in was affecting it.. for instance, I could not press up in the title menu. As soon as I unplugged the gamepads, I had full control.. I hope this helps.
This post is probably a little late and most people have likely figured out the oddities of Omikron's control scheme, however...
Just started this over the weekend and only tested it for about fifteen minutes.
I noticed that, yes, once you remap directional keys (in Adventure mode), they also became the inputs you need to press to navigate all the menus (Main Menu and in-game, which includes your Sneak and Store purchases). Not a big deal.

Another thing with Adventure Mode controls (using WSAD for directional moving)...Left and Right Shift/Alt/Ctrl keys seem to be flipped for some reason. When I originally remapped 'Run' to Left Shift (default is Right Shift) it didn't work. Remapping 'Run' back to Right Shift allows me the run using Left Shift. Whatever.
With Right Ctrl set to 'Half turn/Strafe', both Right Ctrl and Left Ctrl will perform the action, so it doesn't seem to matter how you bind that one. To strafe, you must hold Ctrl and press A or D. To do Half-turns, hold Ctrl and press S
