I've reached a mission, where the guy (was he called Freddie?) has a mission "Risky Delivery" for me. It says something about needing three guys in good condition on my team, and none should be in jail. Then I need to deliver a briefcase somewhere... where?? I've got six guys on my team and I own everything in the district. I have no idea how to progress. It just says "0/3: in progress" or something like that on the top.

edit: This happens on Georgia Ave, after I've gathered 500 clean money.

That mission is broken in v1.06 - there is patch for it but not on GOG...check the other threads.
That is a real bummer. What a shame GOG is being neglected like this: the patch been available for those who have the game on Steam for weeks: why can't us with the DRM-free version have it too? Bad, bad move, Kalypso...
Oh, one more question please: Does anyone know, can I play the other missions before Georgia Ave while waiting for the patch, without having to fear the 1.07 patch (whenever it is decided to release) will break my save?
Ugh, now Garden Pier has a game-breaking bug too. I am supposed to secure every Casino in the district for myself...well, I did, but nope. Game still thinks there are indie casinos operating on the area.

How the hell is it possible that
1. The game has this many game-breaking bugs, even AFTER it's been patched MULTIPLE times??
2. GOG doesn't even have the latest patch that would fix at least ONE of these bugs that completely BLOCK your progress further? A patch that's been out there for at least two months??

I can't say I'm too happy at the moment. The patch-not-available-thing most likely isn't GOG's fault, I get that. But the fact that such broken mess as this is even out there, is mind boggling. Fair warning to anyone reading this and if they're considering buying the game: don't! For the love of God, DON'T!!!
The game used to be stable, bugs free. I have completed it once. Until they introduced a massive patch that added new stuffs and tweaks (1 GB), in conjunction with the release of Japanese Incentive expansion late last year. Even the latest 1.07 isn't exactly bug-free. Maybe because of that they're thinking of releasing 1.08 for all vendors, thus skipping 1.07 for GOG.
Glad that I didn't took the chance and bought the game during the weekend sale.

Shame though... SInce the gangster aspect is pretty fascinating.

You can beat Garden Pier.

1. Start the level over.
2. Do NOT buy out any casinos.
3. Destroy all the casinos without saving and loading the game.

I believe that's how I did it. The best thing to do would be to somehow acquire the patch we can't get.

That one is definitely broken.
I started it, didn't notice this thread. When I got the order to take over or destroy the casinos, I fire bombed one.
When I bought 1 of the 2 remaining, the counter when up from 2 left to 3 left.
When I restarted the mission, I won it the moment I got the order to take over or destroy the casinos. However I didn't destroy them ...
I didn't do the purple missions with exception of the 1st one which tells you to fight the gang.

I beat Garden Pier. I had to not buy out any of the casinos and just destroy them all instead. I still couldn't get past Risky Business. That's completely broken.

Why don't the developers playtest the patches before uploading them?
I recently purchased Omerta from GOG and have been enjoying the game. I just got to the Risky Delivery mission and found that I could not progress through it. This post, dating back almost a year, is very disappointing to see. Shame on me for not researching before buying. Why, after all this time, is there not a patch available to fix this issue? Why is GOG still selling a game that has a show stopper like this in it?
At least you can ask a refound to GOG, within 30 days after purchase, to be reinmbursed.

I realise it comes a bit late, but there is now a patch in the gog library. I just now got around to try it, and now you can actually progress in the game past the 2nd mission.
