Hi there! Anyone have played Oddysee in Wine? I'm playing it in Ubuntu 10.04 with Wine 1.1.42 and the sound tend to go off every few minutes. It has become really annoying while playing the temple, and I wonder if anybody here has had that problem and has solved it.

Hi there,
The below should help:
1. Click on Applications > Wine > Configure wine
2. Click on the "Audio" Tab
3. Under the heading "Direct Sound" change the "Hardware Acceleration" from "Full" to "Emulation" (As shown in the attached screen shot).
4. Click on Apply.
5. Click on OK.
Note that some other games may not like "Emulation" mode so you may need to change it back when playing other games.
Also I would recommend installing the latest version of Wine by following the instructions stated here (Wine has improved a lot since 1.1.42):
