Curious if anyone here has frame rate issues with this game?

I have a decent enough PC, can run Skryim and Tera Online on High setting with no issues, yet something with this game gives me horrid frame rate issues and while it certainly looks nice compared to original it's still little more than a minor upgrade that looks no where near the quality of those games and in no way should a game like this, its rather unplayable to me really.

I have fps issue if i turn on anti-aliasing other than FXAA. Even SSAA 4x will turn the game sluggish at certain area. The downside of FXAA is it make the game blurry and bit dark, i guess it's better for me to turn off anti-aliasing altogether.

Btw, i'm using C2Q 2.GHz with GTX460. I'm not sure if there's still performance issue with both AMD GPU card and CPU.

I run:

AMD Quad Core FX-4100 @3.6ghz
8GB RAM
1GB R4850 HD

Which should be able to run laps around that game even in its HD form. turning off AA does help somewhat but over time it seems to get really bad regardless. Almost as if the game has a memory leak or 10... I was going through the tutorial section and by the time I got to the end it was really bad. I kept saving and changing settings and going back in repeatedly to try and see if I could get it to stop. Eventually I just got fed up.

Now my copy is the Steam version though. Though something tells me there is no real difference between the two.

Really at this rate I would just want the original version back. It may not have looked as good but at least it played just fine with no frame rate issues.

From Steam forum, it's very clear there's still some performance issue affecting several user. If you bought it from here, you still have access to the original 2005 version.

so there's also problems with the one on here too?

i've got it on Steam and hardly played it and i can't be arsed waiting for a 2 gig update.
