Hello there ^^
I remember playing Abe's Oddysey and Exoddus on PSX, and there a thing I've never understood and found an answer.
In Oddysey, Abe (and all the Mudokons) have 4 fingers on their hands, but in Exoddus they have only 3 fingers.
Anybody knows why?
Im not sure, but I think I remember there were other character design changings between the 2 games.
It's not SO important, but I just find that *odd* (^^)
Apparently, showing characters with only 4 fingers is insulting in Japan; it is a common injury sustained by meat workers, and inferring that's one someone does is a slur on their social standing. So, when the first game was released over there, they edited the game to have 3 fingered Mudokens, which then stuck.
I seem to remember they had to make some other changes regarding some severed body parts in the intro sequence, but I can't remember exactly what they were :S

They edited the MULDOKEN POPS logo from the Japan version. It looks more like a lolly pop with a smile on it rather than a head on a stick.
oh that's . . . weird. I know the devs have some stuff about the game on their website but I missed these tidbits if they were there.
