Fairfox: For anybody that stumbles upon this thread with the same issue, the devs have managed to locate the cause to be anti-virus software (temporarily disabling fixes the launcher until it's re-activated). Crossed fingers for a full fix soon.
We've just received an updated version of 1.1.0 today so hopefully that update will fix what's ailing you :)

Could try the new installer we uploaded today? setup_odallus_the_dark_call_2.4.0.6.exe is the newest installer version we have :)

Fairfox: It didn't fix the issue, and is just the same; I guess it's fully dependant on avast (/general antivirus) to fix. Bah.
Have you tried whitelisting the game in Avast?
