I've been through the opening sequence a couple times now and each time, when the cutscene plays of the rocket failure and crash, I don't see anything out the window. Just the Martian atmosphere haze. Anyone else? Is Pyramid Games monitoring GOG forums?

<edit> After poking around, and uninstalling and ten forgetting and more time off, I wanted to close out this query. I found a setting for "render outside environment"" (or some such title). Setting this on the cut scene displayed just fine. </edit>

Sorry, can't help with the crash -- but I don't think the devs actually monitor this forum, seeing as up to now they've not even put up a sticky with update information.

I held off from buying the game for a while for that lack of basic buyers care. I just bought it, though -- let's see, if we can support each other at least. No one here but us, at it seems :)

Edit: Typo

I've now been playing the game for a few hours in Campaign mode.

Referring to you not seeing anything out the window: I do see the outside. Hazy, more like shadows. I think that's a consequence of the sandstorm hitting the base right after you wake up.

If and what is rendered looking through the window might also depend on the Graphics settings chosen.

Edit: The usual typos.

Just a heads up:

There are MANY titles offered on both Steam and Non-Steam platforms.
Of these titles, many prefer to offer their support in one location.
Sometimes it's through the Developer's website or help forum; the Dev's Discord; or other.
On rare occasion, the Dev's of a title will have referrals to Epic or GOG forums for all support regardless of platform of purchase.
Most often, the Dev's will handle support on Steam.
Your best bet: If it was announced on Steam first, but is later offered elsewhere; go to Steam for support.
Ignore all the Steam-Fanboys' hollerin' about non-steam users offending them by daring to participate while you are not a Steam Subscriber for the title at issue.
While you're there addressing your particular issue, make a separate mention that there is no 'presence' here on this non-Steam forum, and would they kindly address it by creating a Sticky here with their preferred method for getting support for the non-steam users.

For an example reference, see this :
Workshop can be toggled for non-steam users (Epic...)

And the topic added to the Dev's dedicated support site

Discussion on Steam is quite active, but most complain about how hard it is to find tablets, seeds and circuit boards (which I simply can not understand, once you have the rover and grinder 3 you get enough of them including MREs to build several bases and no need of planting anything)
.
Devs have also a Discord server under https://discord.com/channels/649192095080513569/652887087561048094 but you have to register your mobile number there.

I can understand that the devs concentrate on steam, but not offering the latests "public testing" patches on other platforms is a bit a let down.
