Are there any plans on adding mouse panning and zoom to the Nav Map? Right click dragging for pan and scroll wheel for zoom or something.

The current setup is driving me crazy!

In case you haven't discovered it, holding Shift while using the arrow keys will speed up panning. I didn't realize that the first couple of days and it made a big difference.

Anyway, there was talk about mouse drag panning in the official OiS forums a little ways back, and, if I recall correctly, Elissa said it would conflict with current mouse code, but that with some work it would probably be possible.

I'm used to X3, so I actually swing the other way and would prefer full keyboard control. The mouse really slows me down. Something like Shift+M for map and Shift+Arrows for moving markers would be great. T for rotating through targets, etc. But we all have our preferences :)

Right, well, that's the thing! The control setup is neither full keyboard, nor a sensible kb+m. It forces you to move between unusual keys and the mouse, which IMO makes it somewhat clunky and breaks the flow. Pointing and clicking/dragging would make much more sense in many situations.
