It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

The new update for the backer's Mac version is available on Steam and Cyan announced today that it was also available on GoG but it's NOT.

Why?
Three days later and still no update. Very poor service from GOG. Next time I will use Steam. At least they try ... and respond to enquirers.

Agreed, this is pretty poor. At least manage expectations properly with a comment here!

Not sure if Cyan deleted their reply to my tweet (last Thursday) because of bad spelling ... or something more sinister.
Luckily I have the email confirmation of their response ...

Good news.

There is now an offline (direct download) available to backers on GoG. It went live a few hours ago.

You can now download the newest update without using Galaxy.

Lets hope the update is all we would want it to be.

Bad news. GOG screwed up with the stand alone browser installation file. It does NOT work. I have tried TWO installs ... both do NOT create (or overwrite) game files. Useless.

When will we actually get this update ... ?

Until they fix it (you did send in a support ticket?), you could try unpacking the latest update. Depending on how it's packaged and what's wrong that may or may not work.

What does the installer do? It runs for a really long time and once it's done Time Machine starts backing up 10 GB of something. I went so far as to read the installation log to try to see where it had put things, but it was pretty useless.
I contacted support regarding the broken installer. I was told I needed select an installation location using the dialog that pops up. I don't think I've ever seen an installer popup a save dialog like this halfway through an installation before. Also, it doesn't work. Installation will continue and even finish regardless of whether I select a location or just leave the dialog open. It doesn't matter if I select a location immediately or wait until the end – nothing is installed.

After badgering GOG support since their release of the "non-installing" .pkg file update, they finally uploaded to their to ftp server a ZIP file which DOES download and install the 1.4.1 update.

Rather than admit that the .pkg file is useless they said "Since your Mac has issues with PKG files..." which I find rather annoying... they had decided to upload the zip file.

I suggest you guys ask them for the link "Since your Mac has issues with PKG files".

The update greatly improves stability on Maray.

I intend sending Cyan copies of the GOG support emails which had constantly blamed my machine, my ISP and my software for this rediculous situation rather than a badly made .pkg file.

I also intend sending a link to this thread to GOG support to show that I was not the only one affected by this crappy file.

I still have the full link if you want it.
