HI everyone

First time writing on the gog forums and I'm afraid this is one of those "read the faqs/1000th post of this sort" kind of question, so please don't shred me to pieces. :)

i7 2600k 3.4
16 gb 1333
gtx 580 3 gb
crucial m4 (ssd)

What I want to know is obviously will the game run and if, while I'm fine with just "ok" graphics and passable fps, how well will it run? I don't need full hd antialiasing and all that stuff but still...it just looks so interesting.

Your graphics card is below the minimum specs which is a GTX 660, 1gb. That being said you may be able to run the game but just on the lowest settings.
Thanks.

I mean I did read that, I'm just not too sure. With video cards, I never know how much of it scales/is dependent on vram or just the age of the card type. Maybe if somebody has played it with a 580 could weigh in...I would be totally satisfied with just 720p but I'm afraid even that might be too naive.

Hi Meezl,
This game really needs at least 4GB Vram. 6 would be better.
Other than that, your rig looks very good. Just make sure you have no less than 30% free space for cache files.

You are really close to being able to experience this game as it was intended to be seen. Full HD and smooth movement.. You just need to up the vRam and you're there. The recommended card for this game is the Nvidia 980 TI (or better). I have a GTX Titan X (12 GB Vram 24GB virtual) in an old Xeon Quad Core Mac Pro and the games runs smooth at max settings, even on a 7200 RPM HDD (with lots of free space).

Thanks to the near simultaneous releases of No Man's Sky and Obduction, both hardware heavy games, there's been a run on the Nvidia 980 cards, Check the web for new as well as used. (I bought my Titan X used, from a reputable dealer who offers support and a warranty).

Happy gaming!

Got nearly the same specs (GTX 960 4G), and right after first start the autodetection (grafix) had been set to "epic".
Adjusted AA (8), and the game runs like a charm.
The game looks incredible, good luck ...
