mac version is only for kickstarter backers atm. it's not totally polished yet so they aren't going to release it publicly until it's ready.

Not even for backers...at least not on gog...
I am a backer and there is no Mac version

edit: found it. click on the triangle on the right and choose "View Downloads". That way you are shown the special build.

--Sorry, I feel like I must have hi-jacked this thread. I hope to put it back on track.--

Yes, i'm feeling that, not so little, thrill from 1993 when I bought MYST. I also remember the painful wait for RIVEN.
I went on to play all six games. I've since played most of URU as it was the only one in the series that did not come out on the Mac as an installable standalone. With the Myst 20th Anniversary addition being rebuilt, and available on the App Store, I decided to run through the entire six game series again, in their proper order;
Myst, Riven, Exile, URU, Revelations, End of Ages. But Obduction came out before I could finish End of Ages, and now it will have to wait.

With Obduction, Cyan has done the impossible; it has recaptured that original feeling of Mystery and Wonder, and a bit of trepidation that makes you want to keep playing in spite of the fact that it is 4:30 in the morning and you started at 10:00 AM!

I remember half filling the Journal, that came with the original Myst boxed set, and blazing, obsessively through the game for 42 hours straight. And now, with Obduction, Cyan has done it again!

Now I only wish that all the running my in-game avatar is doing was somehow transferable to my real life body that could use all the exercise!
