If you push Verify / Repair at any time with the way it is currently set up on GoG it deletes all of your save data since it overrides the HDV files that contain them.
GoG should resolve this issue by creating a simple backup batch file or adding a backup procedure of the current HDVs any time Verify is pressed (that never overrides previous backups).
It is ridiculous for any game in 2024 to ever have the potential to delete hours and hours of your save data.
