Hullo!

Is there a quicker way to load a save? right now I have to quit the entire game just to load a previous save.

I mean, there is a "quick save" in the game but not a quick load? ... or am I too dumb to spot it in the manual.

I'm only early in the game, so I "die" to just about anything I meet, and loosng money by escaping is not an option since money is scarce early on, I need every penny.

Thanks for checking out the game!

Unfortunately there is not a quick load and quitting / restarting the game is the only way to load a saved game.

I agree that a quick load feature is a logical thing to have. For context the quit/restart/load dynamic was typical in 8-bit 1980s games because of memory limitations. Nox Archaist was designed to run on original Apple II hardware and runs on GOG via an emulator. We did a lot of things to apply modern sensibilities to the game design, pushing the Apple II platform to its limits, such as pop-up windows, menu driven inventory UI, and a quest log. Quick load was one we just could quite squeeze in.

Thanks again for playing and best of luck to you on your adventures in Vali.
