Cannot play Nox Quest, it shows up in the game menu but I get the "You need to download the FREE Nox Expansion Pack from www.westwood.com in order to play a Nox Quest game" message when I clock on it. From the forums, I've seen other people have had the same problem but I haven't seen the solution. I've verified, reinstalled, ran in compatibility and ran as administrator without success. Does anyone have the solution? I'm running Window 7 64 bit.

SOLUTION: If I download from the GOG client, Nox Quest does not work. If I download from the actual file from the GOG website, it does work.

You can try disabling the UAC altogether. Judging by how Westwood handled their expansions, chances are this is a registry issue, maybe the UAC isn't giving Galaxy the right permissions. Either that or GOG needs to be made aware of an issue within the Galaxy distribution of Nox.

To enable Nox Quest, you need to modify registry. Please follow http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Nox#Enable_Quest_add-on_for_Origin_version
(Works with GOG version too, just tested.)

Just in case that site goes away, here's what I did:

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\
If the key Westwood doesn't exist then right-click the key from above, add a new Key and name it Westwood
Right-click Westwood and add a new Key and name it Nox
Right-click Nox and add a new DWORD, name it SKU, and give it a hexadecimal value of 2500.
Click OK.

Hi, bought this game yesterday (19.12.2018) and download installer 2.0.0.20 and install it. After installation try find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\ Westwood\Nox\DWORD SKU 2500 and found it.
IMHO is not needed add thes key yet if you download the installer,
