I bought Nox a while ago, but just started playing it last night. Started as a warrior, laughed my way through that trial in the town, and then got my butt kicked by a scorpion in the sewers (under the machine room, I believe it was)immediately after. Ok, so I reloaded, healed up, looked to see if I had better gear, and ran back in to kill the scorpion with little problem.

Finished the quest, and got sent to Ix. On my way there, got my butt kicked by bandits. Grr....reloaded, stomped my way through, and made it to Ix.

In Ix, got a quest to go to the graveyard. Laughed my way through the urchins in the first area of the graveyard, and promptly got my butt kicked on the lower floor of the area.

WTF am I doing wrong? Some parts seem ridiculously easy, and as soon as I start enjoying myself, I'm getting curb-stomped.

Hi,

I have no warrior specific advice but, I've been playing this kind of games for a long time. Caught the bug when I was gifted Diablo. The main advice any diablo faq would give was to take it slow. Running around like a headless chicken gets you killed fast and the fun factor lowers fast. If you aggro too many things at once you can still run away, they break chase after a while. You could also try to thin them a bit by having them run through narrow corridors (underground rocks, vegetation, etc) and picking the off one by one. Use natural choke points.

I'm playing a wizard and even if I run back / towards mana stones a lot, it's still fine because I got homing spells and they can be cast even while running. Really fun :)

Well, I've been trying that, and still no luck XD (I've been playing since Diablo, also, so I'm not a total newbie at the genre) I guess I'm just not approaching this the right way! Time to try again! Thanks for your help :)
The warrior's charge spell can kill most monsters in one shot. However, if you miss you hit the wall, take damage, and you're stunned for several seconds.

I know for a fact you can kill Scorpions with it in one hit. These guys are a pain otherwise as they can sting you and poison you if you engage them in a lengthy melee fight.

Also this game is a bit of a potion spammer, but its not all potions. Potions heal you to full, but other pickups (meat, apples) heal you partially. Don't waste health potions unless your health is really low - use meat and apples first.
