Help when ever i start the game the screen starts to flickering like crazy but only in the game. Does anyone know how to fix it. And yes i have tried to compatible the game with different windows versions
The easiest and most all-round reliable fix for problems with Nox is to apply the SDL patch / Loader.

Here is a link to a guide with complete step by step instructions for setting it all up, you can just skip the first two steps since you already installed Nox itself.

Be sure to follow the GOG.com version of the installation guide to also get online multiplayer to work again.

I was able to get NOX to run completing the following:
Tested under Windows 7, 8.1, 10 x64 Platforms
*This is just an FYI for anyone experiencing issues with flickering or un-viewable videos and menus*

1. Locate NOX.exe from the GOG default installation directory
2. Right Click Modify - Compatibility Tab
a. Select 'Change Settings for All Users'
b. Change 'Run this in Compatibility Mode': Windows 98/ME
c. Reduced Color Mode: 16-bit
3. Apply and OK

Recommended as well is to disable Virtual Super Resolution (AMD) or Supersampling DSR (nVidia):
GOG NOX Support Portal - www.gog.com/support/nox

Mileage may vary but has worked for several friends and co-workers.

....or don't do all that stuff and just download the SDL patch: http://server1.awesie.org/NoxGUI_beta13.zip, like Pyrolit said.

Skylancers tip worked for me.
I may as well add to the list of what worked for me. I have Win7x64 and was getting the blinking after an initial install from GOG Galaxy. It took some experimenting, but I finally got it to work.

What I did was turn on Win98/Me compatibility mode for both Nox.exe and Game.exe. I also needed to turn off all other compatibility settings except for "Disable display scaling for high DPI settings". I also set both files to run as administrator and that worked. I did install the Nox_Gui file from PCGamingWiki, but I was still getting crashes until I did these exact settings. So I'm not sure if the file is needed or not.

Every other compatibility setting would either cause the blinking or a crash.

tested June 30th 2021.
YES to this file link above (SDL patch). Copy and pasting the contents of the zip into your main install folder (YES to overwrite) fixes all issues with the game. Runs beautifully on 64bit Windows 10 (RTX 2080 MaxQ, Scaling: aspect ratio/scaling performed on GPU/Override scaling mode set by games <check>, vertical Sync OFF)

It took me a little bit to find the buttons on a couple of the steps but I figured it out and it worked for me also. Thanks much!
