I click on Solo Quest but it says I need to download the free expansion pack. I thought it was included since its patched to 1.2.

I just fired it up. Seems to work for me. Win7 64 bit.

got another question about quest mode.. I'm on stage 3 and when I quit and load my game again, it sends me back to stage 1. How do i warp to stage 3?

Can't help you on that one. I haven't played through it yet. Just the solo campaign as a Wizard.

That was always the problem with Quest. It's designed for one (very long) multiplayer play session. I can't recall if that same restriction applied to singeplayer questing, but it sounds as thought it might.

What doesn't make sense is that you can't save, altough when you quit and click to open quest mode, there is a list of save files with at what stage you're at appended to the name of each savefile. I tried saving with quicksave but doesn't work. Nox appears to save at exiting quest mode. It doesn't save where you are. It also appears that the stages are random generated and change after loading?????

At least it saves your inventory ;-) So it is still sort of fun and not a total uselessness for playing this mode.

I think what it does is save the level you're up to- such as a level 10 difficulty Quest. The next time you load, you're continuing at the level you were up to.

It resets every time you load a Quest character, putting you on stage 1 (though you keep inventory, spells, etc.). There are portals near the shopkeeper at the start that let you skip ahead in, I think, 5 stage increments, but only if you've been that far before (which is probably why the stage is appended to the save: to let you know how far you've made it). So, you'd have to make it to stage 5 before you can skip ahead at all.

Above is correct. I used to play when this came out and you can use the portal to jump 5 levels at a time, but only if you have completed those levels already on that character. Items get much better at higher levels but so does the reslawn rate and difficulty of enemies

i cant play nox QUEST it doesnt even show on my gama home screen !! can anyone help I LOVE PLAYING THAT GAME lol
