I haven't played this game for years, and finally, after seeing a small review on YT, decided to go through it once more, however, got stuck in a Chapter 3 location. There is an ogre village there, and after a lengthy dungeon, you meet their leader in a longhouse, aught to fight him. And I did, however, the way forward requires sapphire key, and the way into the depths of village is locked behind a mechanism.

I went through every nook of the long house, but cannot find nor the key, neither the mechanism. I've referred to let'splays around, and it seems that the key whether falls from the dead ogre leader (which it never did for me), or is behind the grate in the hut (which it isn't). Couldn't find the mechanism for the gates too, and am quite stuck right now.

I went with the conjurer route, and have the GoG version of the game, which seems to have Quest patch already in, if that helps.
