Okay, I've been playing the CD version of Nox, updated to V1.2, for awhile now.
My system is:
Windows 7 64-bit
Nvidia GTX 460 video card
playing Nox at 1024x768, 16-bit color
1920x1200 24" LCD monitor
UAC is enabled
Antivirus is MS Security Essentials

On this system, Nox has been working just fine, right out of the box. I haven't had to check any settings in Compatibility, and works smoothly and superbly.

Then I purchased the GOG version, so I wouldn't have to tie up my drive with a CD anymore, and found that it was jerky, blinking the screen and doing other quirky things.

However, when I went into Compatibility (on the desktop icon) and turned off *all* options there, it worked fine! No jerking, no video blinking, runs fine.

So, fwiw, that's one person's experience with it.

i bought the gog Nox few days ago, because steam doesn't have it and I hate origin so even if they had i wouldn't never buy from them.

Question to other owners of Nox, which verion of Nox is the gog Nox?

I see that the gog version says it's 460MB or something, but my original copy comes on 2 CDs, neither of which looks half empty even. Is anything stripped from the game? CD Music maybe or something like that?

Read somewhere the 2nd NOX cd was one you could lend a friend so you can play MP together.

for me its only english, my cd comes also with german for example
