Installing Nox is blocked by my antivirus program, I suspect this is a false positive but I'd like to post a heads up just to be sure, the file Avast! detects as a trojan is located here : C:\GOG Games\Nox\is-K5PBT.tmp

I'm running a Windows 7 64bit
Intel core i5 2500k
AMD Radeon HD 6950
8 GB DDR3 RAM

I think this is all the relevant information, thanks in advance for your help.

If it is still being picked up as a false positive, then can you send the file over to Avast support so that they can make an exception for it in their next set of definitions?

I have the same problem installing it on Windows XP 32bit with Avast

It not only detects it during install, but if avast is running when I click on Game.exe it detects as a virus
and puts it in the virus chest.

So basically deactivate Avast during install and also when I want to play NOX, then when finished playing
re-activate Avast

I have also sent a false positive report to Avast

False positive takes time. Just add the entire NOX game folder map to your exception folder. Do this for both every schedule that will automatically cover that folder inclyding File System Shield and you should be good to go.

Nox is no longer detected as a virus by avast!.

Edit: I suppose it's because I'm running Windows Vista?

It's still detecting "Game.exe" as a virus I'm checking it now on a fresh install. I have win xp pro x64

Confirmed, Avast just removed Nox's game.exe on my daughter's computer for the second time today. This is getting really frustrating.

Looks like we will have to set exceptions for "Nox" until Avast! gets around to fixing things.

Solution: Remove Avast! Get good anti-virus.
