Downloaded the recent installer on Windows 10.
Installs
Launches into a black commandline box temporarily, it closes then a white box comes up top left corner says Uncaught exception. In white box says Null access. Anyone have similar issue?.

Yep, I've got the same issue ! Except that the error window isn't specifically in a corner for me, it's a "standard" window, but same messages inside. I'm on win10 too !

Same. I tried a bunch of things, inside the game folder is the 32bit executable, that one opens a full-screen window, but crashes with the same error. Patch notes report having fixed "most" of the null eaccess erorrs, according to the changelog the game has last been updated a year ago, so I don't have high hopes for anything getting fixed in the near future.
First time I had to request a refund on GOG.

Yes, this seems to be a common problem. The game looks nice, but I don't feel like sending bug reports, I'm not a beta-tester. They sell broken products, I get a refund and that's that.

A new update came out today (2.7.5.24893). Seems to work now.

Every time I want to buy this game I can just come here and find another excuse not to, time to cross this one off the list permanently.
