Hello,

Multiplayer requires gog galaxy and it is said that multplayer doesn't work on the store page.

But does anybody know if it is planned or if there is a way to emulate it ? (by implementing the gog multplayer API on linux ?)
Maybe it would be nice to have lan-only multiplayer ?

The multiplayer is disabled, so in the end I bought a game (including all DLCs) and I cannot play the way it was advertised. That's not fair.

Are you saying the DLCs are not playable as multiplayer? From my understanding they are usable only in skirmish against AI, right?

Can we get an answer on this? If we can't multiplayer on Linux, I'd like a refund.

No multiplayer at all, nothing to do with the DLCs (I mentioned I bought the DLCs just to show I like the game concept and I wanted to encourage the developer, I'm not a DLC fan really).
I opened a ticket with the GOG support (~1 day ago), I'm curious about what they have to say (no answer yet).
I decided to buy it because in the game description it mentions (native) support for Linux and multiplayer.

In my opinion it is not fair to advertise it as a multiplayer game if the multiplayer doesn't work (at least a note saying "No multiplayer on Linux" would have helped).

Still, I won't demand a refund, I don't want to discourage GOG or game developers supporting Linux. Hopefully the developer will solve the issue and we can all enjoy multiplayer on Linux (LAN only multiplayer is more than enough for me, actually it is exactly what I hoped for when I bought the game).

Edit: My fault, it does say 'Please note that multiplayer is available on Windows and macOS only" but I missed it.
Sorry about the noise.
Anyway, it would be great LAN only support for Linux users.

Wow that sucks, I finished the campaign on windows cause on my Manjaro Box it had weid sound stuttering issues.
Unfortunatly I cant edit my review cause thats a big minus.

But then again, after the proton steam plaquge I support every developer and buy their game when they offer a native linux port. (at least games I am somewhat intereset in ;))

I didn't play a complete game yet but in a short single player test game I did not notice any sound problem.
Running Manjaro Linux.

Yes it is really annoying that GOG doesn't say anything about Galaxy for Linux. When I opened a Ticket, the supporter could not tell me anything.

Most likely, the issue with this game's multiplayer and many games is that they use the GOG galaxy API to manage connectivity between players.

This is the same reason why Steam x GOG multiplayer does not work.

Long story short, the real problem is GOG Galaxy being unavailable for Linux. I don’t see this happen anytime soon. The best we can do is ask for the feature again and again.

Hey Guys,

Unfortunately, Multiplayer is not currently supported on the Linux version of the game.

We may have to make the statement of this on the games page more prominent to avoid any potential confusion in the future, I'll raise this with the guys!

The possibility of multiplayer coming to Linux isn't entirely out of the question at some point down the line, but it is not in the plans at this time.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Thanks for letting us know, even if the warning was after the fact. I'm going to be requesting a refund.

The single player portion seems to also require GOG Galaxy. Why is this? I can only do Story Mode on Linux?

Solo mode has just been fixed with the last updates.

Moreover the Conquest mode is now finally available without Galaxy. It's a huge improvement for Linux players.
Thanks to GOG and Northgard teams for having fixed it.
