I'd like to open a fresh thread regarding Multiplayer over LAN as there has been no updates about this feature in a long time. Please keep this thread civil.
Following up on the official response from 2020 in the previous thread, are there any updates regarding adding LAN as an option to Northgard multiplayer [maybe conquest too]? While the Northgard board game is a great option for providing your guests with a local experience, Northgard on PC is just a wild night waiting to happen between fellow PC gamers in a basement or garage somewhere looking for their next off-the-grid experience. We are still a demographic that would greatly appreciate being given some attention to when it comes to modern games. I could list many reasons for why we prefer to play over LAN but I'll let the community speak for themselves.
My main reason for wanting LAN multiplayer in Northgard is pretty much for logistical reasons. I don't have the bandwidth to service more than a few PCs constantly pulling and sending data without getting lots of lag; something we only experience in online-only games. On the other hand, with a nice Gigabit switch, we have no problem distributing data within ourselves.
