Since the Lynx update, I noticed that sometimes when I request a villager to build something the villager will just start building where he is located and not running over to the building to start building.
I haven't purchased the Lynx DLC yet. Not sure if that makes a difference.

I've noticed this as well, but it doesn't seem to make a big impact. The building still gets constructed even if the villager is standing in the wrong place.
