SirPrimalform: Continuing your film analogy, I always watch the original language version vs a dub because it's
what was intended.
MobiusArcher: Unless you speak the language, its still just a translation. But hey, whatever you like is fine. Im trying to say that you should stick with the one you like better. The creators vision isn't important if its not as good. Take Oblivion for example. Without any mods, that game is kind of boring. With mods, its awesome. In that case, I would say its better to play it modded, even though it changes things from what the developer intended. Its been too long since I have played Normality to know what voices are better. Im just saying that what's original isn't as important as what entertains you more. This is one of the many reason why I don't associate with Anime fans, even though I spend ridiculous sums of money on the stuff.
You make a good point with Oblivion, I agree with you there. It's true that the subtitles would be a translation, but the translation used for dubs is often screwed with for the sake of trying to lip synch.
In the end, we both agree that having the option of either would be best. People can choose whichever they prefer.
On the note of anime fans, I too find them annoying despite watching it fairly often. I do prefer the original voices for the aforementioned reason though, that and the fact that the acting on a cheap dub is usually atrocious.
