You know how your wand has some neat little effects coming out of it depending on what sort of spells you have in it? Like smoke coming out of the tip of it when you got fire spells in it? Well guess what happens when you have lighting in your wand? Yep it sparks... and not only that, it's not JUST an effect... it can kill!

One of my best runs yet just got ended by that small little detail. Had three amazing wands/spells, lots of cash from clearing half the level, and 250 HP. I was set to go the distance... and then that small detail ended it before I even realized what happened.

So just letting you all know before you make the same mistake.
I'm sorry for you but thats a very common thing in Noita. Your staffs can set yourself on fire, smash you in an explosion or eletrocute you, like you experienced. Not to mention the possibility to spill acid, toxic waste, lava and so on. Each of those damage types can be countered by the corresponding immunity perk, but that's of course just luck :( I recommend to be very careful in what you use in your wands and don't experiment on staffs when you already have a good setup.

Wish you good luck next time!
Oh I know I kill myself pretty easily, but I mean I didn't fire the thing while I was in the water or anything. Otherwise I would've just facepalmed at my stupidity lol. No, it happened on it's own passively from the wand's little passive effects just from having it equipped. Having it in your hand is like bringing out a thunderstone while in the water (Which I have done once to check my flask percentage... god that dumb XD).

In the other hand... if you're feeling creative, you can kill an enemy by tossing it in the water and having them pick it up while in the water. But... that has the potential to just go wrong so easily lol.

Yes, you're right.. The other things I mentioned do not work passively. But just for your information... These electro things also work on any other liquid AND steel, too. So don't just take care in the water next time ;)

But these spells are very effective in combination with immunity to electricity. It does a lot of damage to enemies that get into range and you can savely use it in liquids and on steel.
