I keep dying when ANYTHING gets right in my face. My spells pass right through the guy in front of me.

Also, it seems some enemies only have a hit box on their heads, not their bodies, as spells pass through some enemies. The dog looking ones on the first level seem the worst for this.
Is this an FPS thing?
