Beyond Belief!

So its CTD if you try to warp anywhere.
CTD with Blu Screen of death and memory Dump if you try to change or reduce the graphics? (not seen it this bad since windows XP!) ( im on win 7 64 bit) As i was compelled to do just now as the game is slowed down to a jittering crawl after this latest "Beyond" patch.

Seriously HELLO GAME TEAM.

If the great modding comunity can add hundreds of fabulous mods without any of this crap why the F£$%^%$£K cant you !!!??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I think its time you just hung your heads, walked away and leave it to the modding grown ups to fix dont you?

Thanks for nothing (AGAIN!)
Whoa that was salty!. Yeah Beyond is not so good for me either. But I was smart. thanks to DRM free I just copied my install folder to another place before the update so I can go back to good old NEXT
Yeah I'm frakkin' salty, as well. OP gets a +20 from me. BSOD'd twice in 10 minutes. Unable to change, or even see, any controls in options. Doesn't support ultra wide ratios anymore. Rendering of the ground looks awful, once it's loaded in after being blurry, staring at it for 10 seconds flat below my feet.

This patch is for the bin. WHY do they release in this state, just to make the date... what for...

Gobydon: back to good old NEXT
Technically, that's not NEXT, that's... VISIONS, I think.

*Addendum: (PSA) Instructions on how to rollback to previous version

*ponders* A Visions hotfix already fucked my homeplanet. If the 2nd patch try does not bug out again I'll give it a try. I already do not play because of the messed up world; so the worst case is already here.

Yeah Thanks Gobydon, partly "My Bad???" as i had the thing set to "Auto update" as i never dreamed they could get it this wrong yet again, and assumed "stupdly" they had learned from thir oh so troubled past?

Will take your advice and uncheck auto update and do as Blacksun suggests (thanks for the info n tut) Still can't belive they screwed the pooch on this level yet again?
and whomever is responsible Hello Games?, Next, Visions, im not sure, you know who you are. Give it up and stick to stuffing chickens

Disclaimer:

(no offence to chickin stuffers your doing a great job just like the makers of No Mans Clue)

Terms and condisions apply, your home is at risk if you pour petrol thru the letterbox and set fire to it etc.
What I did was, I copied the BEYOND updated game folder to somewhere else, before doing the rollback.
I still wanted to know the overhauls to the game start tutorials, and they are indeed, very nice. I played a new game up until the hyperdrive crafting, as there are reports of BSODs / crashes when warping somewhere. So that's where I stopped.

But yeah, all the new stuff I've seen so far, and the way the game tutorials you now, is really good - some more so in concept (example, wiring needs some - in the truest sense of the word - straightening out of it's jaggedness), but others just outright already.

Just fix it already, this shouldn't have been released in this state outside of the beta / experimental branch...!

seems like the bsod stuff doesn't affect everyone. i've been playing it for hours with no problems. both an old save and a fresh one too.
On my PC it says I need 1080 ti drivers for updated vulkan version and it launches minimized; when I click on it I get bsod. Got it three times. So I'm reverting to my old version. I don't want to break my processor again.

Edit. Processor didn't stop working after this game it was from another but still that costed me $400.

Wow, that's not normal, tho. It's asking for an update to the GPU (graphics / video card) driver, not the CPU (processor). If you ever want to play NMS again after they fixed their mess, you need to update the GPU driver. It shouldn't BSOD you, it should just quit after the error message without launching the game. That's what the message is intended for. But as everything else this release, it's buggy at best... some get the game loading and BSOD, some have the game refuse to launch (like intended, happened to me) and others (you) get the error and still BSOD.

But yeah - you need to update your GPU drivers to play. I did it yesterday, and it is not a big deal to do*.

*Asterisk:
The only machine I've ever known / had that was problematic with these kind of driver updates was a gaming laptop with hybrid graphics. Two drivers in one - switching modes from office to gaming. That's become "Optimus" nowadays - but back then it was all manual and required very specific care. That should be the edgecase, though.
I have it on steam. No crash to desktop. But, it takes forever to load into game. When it finally starts, bunch of textures are missing. The whole planet surface is gone. NPC's missing certain textures for head and body. Your own character texture is completely void of any texture. During the universe loading screen, don't see the Loading shaders anymore.
I looked in the shadercache folder and the files timestamps haven't updated. I deleted the shader file and the game didn't load new files. They done something now that without the shaders loading ends up with textures missing. Being forced with updates is ridiculous. They should have put this through a beta phase and let users test it out for bugs before pushing the official patch.
