Are you telling me we have to completely download the entire game again, uninstall then reinstall?

If not, please provide the right instructions to download the patch files instead of having to re-download the entire game, etc.

Thanks.
If you don't mind installing GOG Galaxy you can use its update feature. The patch was about 950 MB I think.

Besides that there seems to be no other option than a complete re-download at the moment.

For direct download yes I'm afraid so. I don't know why it isn't just a patch. :(

I installed the gog-3 thingy and it seems to have fixed some tearings I was experiencing.
But still no option to change my name from Explorer to something else.

It feels more and more like they are trying to push Galaxy down our throats and it is pissing me off.
I just installed GOG galaxy and it looks like it's asking me to do a re-install of the game, anyways, which is pretty poor.

Since it appears at least some of us will have to do a complete re-install anyways, does anyone know if save data will remain, or do we have to start the game over?

i think there is an option to scan for gog games. I like galaxy cause i dont have to check dl and install patches manually but the game remains drm free unlike steam

Okay, I got it to work. I had to scan and then find the GOG games folder to upload the game. The tools just needed a little help. Thanks for your thoughts-- they got me looking around a little more to try and get it to work.
