It depends upon what you mean by "show no stats." I installed two S upgrades to thermal (hot) shields but only one worked. I read elsewhere a claim that the game will only credit one of each shield type. I haven't tested this yet but plan to kill the extra shields in the next week or so to see if anything happens.

I've installed double modules for both radiation and heat. The second does nothing. As soon as the first one depletes, the second just sits there never engaging, and your protection drops until you recharge the first module. I disassembled them, and sell any redundant shield modules that I find.

Thanks. That is what I thought that I was seeing but also wasn't sure if there still was a bonus being applied to the working shield from the non-working shield.

Have too much money in the bank (3.3 billion in space bucks) so inventory slots are not an issue for me.

I had 8s, 4, 1 of ea weather type, bonded to hazard prot, across top, which is against the 3 limit... hmmpf. and another 4 bonded in tech inv. Only drew power from those across top, in main inv. Rotary shortcut, x menu had 4, instead of 8. No bonus flavor text, not sure if there was a boon. Has anyone with extra nanites to spare, tried 4s + 4a? 8s is broken, and ambiguous.
