Did some grinding for a 25 slot crashed ship. Was getting 1 less slot on the next finds. Went off the planet to a moon and crashed ship with broken warp drive shows up (more slots nice looking ship). This advanced the plot line to make warp fuel. So i did have a backup save and replayed to get the warp drive blueprint. Finding a ship with a broken warp drive moves the plot forward. Conclusion: going off planet opens up better ship finds. Do follow the plot for the blueprints. Explore all planets in the starting system for ships before warping out. Do the max repairs at that point. Trash the upgrades in the ships for materials before you abandon them Its worthwhile.
