I started into BEYOND with 2 BSODs.

First impressions:
(See Screenshots below)

01) Popup with changelog smack down over my savegame selection, no way to dismiss the dialogue
02) Blindly clicking behind the dialogue, I started my game, loading the last save.
03) Star system names are flying from right edge of the screen to the left, not tracing the stars...
04) HOLY CRAP ships are huge now.
05) Why can't I... anything anymore? -> Control settings have been reset
06) Unable to change control bindings
07) Entire menu shows every key as unbound, "-" where it should say "W", ...
08) The icons in front of the bindings are all the same, used to be different icons
09) Checking out video settings, I enabled HDR just to check it out
10) Game BSODs my system.
11) Restarting and launching the game again, immediately BSODs.

Q: I need to change the HDR setting back to "off", where is it saved...?
*Addon: My display is exotic. 32:9 ratio, I think, desk wide at 3840x1080.

*Update:
Found it. \No Man's Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS\TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML
<Property name="UseHDR" value="false" />

So... I can start it again, but it's unplayable. This feels so incredibly rushed. I don't trust it at all.
HDR BSODs my system. The HUD does, in certain situations, seem to break when it was fine before. The ground looks... very weird. It seems they used something I can only describe as Bumpmapping 2.0, where the texture of the ground seems to have an effect on the actual 3D model of it - grass (texture, not physical object) looks like... the ground bubbled and hardened midway. IDK if that's working as intended, but it stands out like a sore thumb to me and it looks so broken / cheap. When it's just a flat surface with a texture on it, that's fine, but this looks like they tried and failed. But that "artistic"-ish thing aside, it frequently doesn't load - the ground is horribly blurry until I stare at it for 2 seconds, then it loads the texture, and in 2 second intervals renders more and more - at my very feet, while I'm already standing on it...

What happened here...?!

What is your system configuration and driver version? Try getting latest drivers. This was the issue with experimental vulkan update.

It wouldn't let me start until I updated my drivers. So I literally just did that and restarted.

Strange. I had this issue with vulkan on dual monitor setup. Driver update did it for me.

Try window mode to see if this fixes stuff. Your resolution is strange dude. One of these ultra-wide screens?

Desk-wide, super fancy and I love it. Used to work absolutely fine a few hours ago before the update...

Playing windowed, the only thing "solved" is that the system names on the loading screen track the stars. There is horrible pop-in every time I look anywhere. And I can't even bind my controls...! The game looks to be straight up broken. Being unable to see, or bind, any controls doesn't have to do with my resolution / ratio, or anything Vulcan...
