This is probably a dumb question (so what's new???) but if we don't have a VR headset, is it still possible to use a VR controller for driving, selecting, etc?

I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but like they say - the only stupid question is the one you never ask...

I think not. Vr controllers use tracking and the pistol has to be taken from right ahoulder and scanner is enabled on left one.

Oculus controllers only works with oculus running... and vive ones I think the same. Ps4 ones no idea.

At the same time menus and options are in augmented reality systems on your left hand and your weapon

It would be cool to have these “wii controllers” working but... as it is now, I think someone needs to mod the game

I'd say 99.999 % no, my Oculus's controllers are tracked by the infrared sensors that are part of the bundle itself - so I can't imagine a way for them to work w/o a VR headset infrastructure.

But, as my predecessor said, there might be some alternative "regular" controllers that act like a regular joystick/gamepad to the computer using some Bluetooth or other wireless emitter-receiver technology ...

The Internet claims that a Wii-Remote-Nunchuck combo should be able to pair with a PC using a Bluetooth adapter ... but also require some specific software from hobbyists or the like ... You'd need to research that for yourself, sorry ... Certainly no guaranteed success ...

"One-handed controller" turns up offerings for people with disabilities, also not much of an alternative to a 360° motion controller ...

You make a lot of threads asking a lot of questions but never thank people for taking the time to answer them. You`d get more help if you did.

Just a heads up.
