ah okay, so all "uploads" i make are only for that savegame, right?
Just wanted to know cause i sometimes play while i don't have internet connection, and would be sad if i couldn't use that function then.
One more question if you know: if i named something once and "uploaded" it, can i rename it somehow again later?
Once reported/uploaded, renaming has never been permitted. Many have tried.
Also note that naming and credit for discoveries is not saved on the servers when playing off-line. This means that the system, planets and fauna can all be credited to a subsequent visitor. I played for the first 7 months or so off-line. Once I caved and started using Galaxy I then went back and had those discoveries credited as no one else had uploaded them.
EDIT: If you try uploading discoveries at a time when the Hello Games discovery servers are not online then most pending discoveries will be uploaded and credited when you are next playing the discovery servers come back.. However, if someone should happen to come along behind you and make the same discoveries then these will be credited to whomever connected to the discovery servers first. This obviously only applies if playing the online version through a client server such as Galaxy. There were some major problems with discovery servers and I ran into this where someone else happened to be in the same system that I was in and each of us has some discoveries credited to the other.
