Just an FYI if it happens to anyone else. I just had an unreachable destination. I used the Signal Detector with a Bypass Chip and had it locate an Outpost. It put the waypoint icon on screen and I took off and headed for it. The timer would only count up and I flew for probably 30 minutes and never got below 1:40 ETA. I headed to space, docked at the station and then came back down. It then worked fine. So if you get a waypoint you can't seem to approach, try that.
