ok so after not being able to play for a month, i finally have the game working again. except i can not get my reshade looking right.

i was using budzfx reshade...it has nice colors, and the dof is noticeable, but subtle. it did however have an annoying problem of rendering the cloud layer over everything. most people will tell you this is caused by the smaa shader...well in my case its the opposite...if i dont use the shader...i get the clouds, if i DO use the shader...everything is far too dark and has a metallic look to it.

so i tried the mojo reshade...its actually pretty nice...and uses the new reshade 3 (with the gui overlay), and the smaa works perfectly fine (or at least not using it doesnt mess things up) and there are no clouds where there arent supposed to be...but the dof on that is out of control. its either 85% of the screen is completely blurred, or theres no blur at all. and no matter how i tweak the settings...its either too much or nothing.

what i would like is to just use the setting for the dof from budz with the mojo preset. now i tried to just copy the parameters for the dof over to the mojo preset...but it didnt work at all. i guess the settings dont coincide between reshade versions though they have the same things to change.

anyone out there know about using reshade? am i missing something?
I don't know. I did try a couple of those most popular graphics adjusting mods when i started the mod process, but over time they sort of made the game look worse (even if one of them did boost the fps a bit) i felt.

So i play with just the sky changing mods now (Dark Skies and Immersive Space), preferring to keep the default colours on planets for the most part (except at night where Dark Skies cleans up the 'noise' on clouds and removes most colour).
