Why the Steamwork Content is not available on GOG as a GOG-Work Content? It's a official Part of the Update...

I would also like to share my base with another players too.

Steam Workshop is part of the Steam platform, it is nothing to do with any other DD service, just Steam.

GOG (or Gamersgate, Uplay etc) are not part of Steam's development, so it is an exclusive thing to steam.

In many ways it is a problem as much as a benefit, it forces people to use Steam if they want the Workshop stuff, and that is the main point of it. Steam wants ALL the games and gamers, and the Workshop and other parts of it's service are about that. It's why i do not use Steam, i prefer services like GOG.

In terms of NMS, i would not worry too much, mods are widely available outside Steam.

I understand you but the Steam Workshop is created by Hello Games and is a part of the regular update on PS4 and Steam... and only not for GOG...

I understand it by User Workshops.. but not by Developer Content...
Umm no it is specific to the Steam DD platform, it's why it's called the 'Steam Workshop'. You have to use Steam, have the game from Steam to be able to use any of the Steam Workshop features.

Not that gives you great detail on much, but it is very much based on the Steam platform, no other platforms have access to it's features.

All Hello Games have done is allow the game to use the Steam Workshop for sharing bases, and that will only be on the Steam version of the game. For the PS4 it will use it's own online stuff for similar functionality (and i'm not 100% sure PS4 users can do the same stuff as you can on Steam via the Steam Workshop).

Just to be clear, to use the Steam Workshop you will need NMS on Steam. I can't be more clear than that.
What about GOG Galaxy? is this not intended for exactly that?

The lack of functional improvement to the Galaxy Client is frustrating. It has remained unchanged for far too long. I took the leap and decided to support GOG instead of Valve... I may have to get a refund and pick NMS up on Steam. So sad.

I agree, it doesn't need to be exactly the same as Steam Workshop, but something equivalent should be on GOG. Even a path with instructions on trading bases would be a step in the right direction.
My only gripe with GOG Galaxy is no real Picture taking method like Steam's default F12 button to take screenshots... Is the team behind this app Dead? why no real updates for over a year? It says there's updates now & then but they are tiny a best and do nothing but stability fixes at this point... I am considering refunding my GOG purchase of No man's sky, I don't care for a platform which doesn't want to actively grow! Come on guys @ GOG! Make screenshots quick & easy and NATIVE, I can use an Nvidia program in Some games but not all...
