Greenbowt discovered the system at the Center of Calypso (video mentions removing the patches at 13:45, and shows the NMS Signal Scanner coordinates at 20:00).

Both achieved their discovery by being warped via black hole to a system at the Center while not having the 1.03 day 1 patch that added the Center storyline jumping to a new galaxy.

So I got around to updating to 1.3x

My bases in each play mode at the Centre of the Euclid Galaxy are all intact (although in all but 1 save my quests were reset.

I see the new Galactic Map no longer displays the captured system name for everyone else to see.

Ah well it was fun taunting folks with that for a while.
