I have both the mining laser and bolt caster abilities installed in my multitool. Is there a way to toggle between the two of them or do I need to remove the bolt caster to use the mining laser?

On PC, press x.
It's the default button to change weapon modes. You can remap the controls in the options menu.


EDIT: By the way, the same button also changes weapon modes in the starship for space battles if you have both, the plasma cannon and the beam cannon installed.
