balkaster: No, this bug is at least as old as Atlas Rises, when I started playing. The only workaround I found was to restart the game, like you did. Not surprised to find that it's yet another old bug not fixed by Hello's massive overhaul.
RawSteelUT: Funny how that goes. It's almost like they've lost the plot with these massive patches, adding features and changing recpies and refiner outputs when they SHOULD be addressing myriad issues, both old and new.
Yes, I went on an embarrasing rant in another thread because I had no idea what NEXT was supposed to include. I expected them to fix numerous bugs -- some have existed since launch -- that make the game just unpleasant to play. I don't think NEXT fixed any of them, and I'm not happy that they trashed everything I managed to build despite their broken game.
As far as I can tell (because I'm not playing the game currently, and I rolled my install back to 1.38) the cockpit camera bug, the buildings sunk below the surface bug, the ships sinking through the surface/sliding backwards off launch pads bug, character falling through the crust of the planet bug, sentinels flying through or getting stuck inside walls bug, the accidental duplication or elimination of stacks of items in storage containers bug, the hydroponic tray fuel bug, broken AI that prevents NPCs from landing on a freighter with more than three player ships onboard bug and the broken "repeatable" technician missions bug all still exist.
