If you want to spend money for something usefull, you could buy things that can be refined to nanites (platinum or pugneum for example). But there will be the day, you won't need any more nanites (unless you are changing several ships every week like me).

Oohh changing ships several times a week, now there's a thought. Mind you I was thinking of upgrading my A class ugly hauler to an S class prettier one, but after an hour's wait (in a wealthy Gek system) I got bored and flew off again. I wish that now that I'm a multimillionaire, I could just snap my fingers to summon the one I like (and have a paint job done on it) :D

It was such fun to meet you guys at last! Sorry I couldn't join the mission - I JUST (yesterday) started afresh and it was my first visit to the Nexus with my new avi.

Side story: I started a new game probably over 50 times, until I found a system with a booming Vy'Keen economy and a base planet that isn't TOO violent climate wise. Unfortunately there are nasty animals around but I built the base next to a minor settlement and fenced it in somewhat.
