GogCurt: I was out collecting materials on a planet I had discovered when I heard the uplink noise. Obviously this wasn't me saving my data at an uplink, that was back at the base I was near. Then I heard another. And another! I hurried back to the base uplink and as soon as i reached it I activated it, triggering the sound. And there was a response, an uplink sound not activated by me. And then another. So I repeated. And they repeated! There had to be at least one other person on planet or in system. One would sound, then another, then me, we'd step on eachother's sound, it was cacaphony.
