Socratatus: Just make sure you go in Fraps and turn off anything you don`t want showing up, like the FPS. F10 should take the pics by default and stick them in its own folder. Click view on Fraps to see them. Run Fraps minimised while playing. It`s easy.

peternl: Thanks i know about FRAPS and how it works, i just wondered if NMS it self had a screenshot function. Ive installed fraps took some shots very nice.

But thanks anyway:)

cyion: I played a little more today, and thought I would share some more screenshots of this elaborate cave system:
avatar
peternl: Nice shots.

Caves are awesome and they look realy nice i also like the open entrance so immersive.

But there is not much to do in caves no danger no treasure to be found or animals in there bit boring sadly.

Hope the update caves with treasure to be found and monsters to fight:)
Actually, on one planet I was on there was an aggressive predator in the caves and they would try and attack me. On the current planet I'm on there is plutonium and gold in the caves.
Attached is my original crash site, can anyone confirm my flag is different from theirs? If so, I wonder what the meaning behind that is...

I can`t remember what my flag looked like, but it was definitely different to that. I might go back and make a copy of what mine is, just for character building.

misscrabtree456: If you land on a planet like this (note the sentinels) just get back in your ship and leave.

Those are the richest planets. Did you check the caves?? LOL, probably 1 million cash in each cave in the plants..

Here's how it looks for me in non-potato mode, with the proper mods.

Absolutely remarkable game.

Mods are;

Reshade (EBX with major tweaks by me)
CAVS (Chromatic, Vig removal mode)
SHUT UP (stops lame constant warnings)
DOF Removal (Depth of Field Fixer)
Lens Flare Remove
Resolution Fix 2.0x (upscales textures to 4K)

Turns a fairly poor looking game into something absolutely epic.

Seriously!?! I'd love to prove this. Here is a close up of the flag, there are small details as well.

If you add the game in Steam to use the overlay will it still track your play time and achievements in Galaxy?

I don`t want to go all the way back to the beginning right now though, maybe later.

On a different note, am on a a very nice `paradise` planet with a strange creature on it.

It doesn`t seem to have a head.

IT definitely looks like a shark lol. Great photo. I have to say though that I like even more the second monolith photo. Beautiful.

Hopefully sharing this album works.

Perfect landing on a rock cactus

Several markers on planets, seen from space, even on the next planet over

Huge dinosaur like species

Large gatherings of life, was hard to screenshot they were all around me, in the sky and constantly moving.

Nice shots, that huge dinosaur damn he is ugly;)
On this planet, before and inside caves you'll find this plant (see pic).
Inside is one pearl that sells for roughly 12.000 units.
There are a lot of caves around this planet :).

EDIT: forgot, during opening the plant they emit some not that helpful "spores", so you better get upwind and/or as far away as possible.

The other "being" (plant, mineral, whatever) sells for 300 units per piece - several of them for every being.
Same planet, but always in grassy spots.

Found a plant like this on an empty moon, but it`s bigger and you have to open it to get a big pearl. Everytime I grabbed one the sentinels went nuts, immediatley dropping one of those 4 legged sentinels on top me.

I grabbed two before I had to leg it off the planet. They were even shooting my ship on take off!

Purple Haze: https://s3.postimg.org/ejyzlu0hf/nms_purplehaze.png

This is on the moon of the planet over there. It has 3m high spiked space-racoons who eat luminous grass, and are "unconcerned"..

More pics from this planet.

I'm going to name it "Cooper Prime" if no one has a better suggestion.
