I've just started playing this game and I notice screen tearing even tho AMD freesync is on. I'm playing with a 7900xt and a display that can do vrr (freesync premium) from 48-170fps.
Other games don't show this problem for instance Red Dead Redemption 2 the fps may jump from 80 to 140 and no screen tearing when sync is off.
Turning on sync + triple threading in game options gets rid of the screen tearing but introduces a small and annoying jutter when flying around close to the planet's surface even when fps doesn't get below 88 and maxes out at 140 (manual cap).
Does this game not work well with AMD freesync? Is it normal to have jutters when flying around close to the surface? No cpu core gets to 100% utilization (i5-13600k) and gpu is well below 100% utilization at all times.

There are so many hardware variations and settings the best place to ask your question is Hello Games support.

The problem fixed itself for me. I dunno why I haven't changed any settings or updated any drivers. It now runs noticeably smoother with vsync off.
it could have been something as simple as a windows update, of which there were a couple the past month...

Also worth noting the new preview build of 23H2 for Windows 11 increases cpu performance a decent bit.

Don't mess with it unless you're familiar with beta channels of windows, though. :)
