Now, thanks to this dumpster fire of a patch [2.04_BEYOND]...

- (WARNING) BEYOND crashes display driver (BSOD)
- Yet another game breaking Patch!
- Crash to desktop from menu
- Q: Control Remap issues for Beyond!
- Q: Is it possible to delete/remove power lines after placing them

... here we go...

Rollback instructions:

In Galaxy, Settings for NMS, uncheck "Automatically update".
A list of the last few versions should show up.
Select the v1.77 one.

Already saved in the new version? Might be incompatible.
Luckily, I got save backups. If you don't, check both save slots in ESC.
Load the oldest of the two, if that happens to be pre-BEYOND install.
Just to be safe that BEYOND didn't mess with your savegame.

*Edit:
Now, my saltiness about the state of this release aside (it really has no business outside the experimental / beta branch)...

What I did was, I copied the BEYOND updated game folder to somewhere else, before doing the rollback.
I still wanted to know the overhauls to the game start tutorials, and they are indeed, very nice. I played a new game up until the hyperdrive crafting, as there are reports of BSODs / crashes when warping somewhere. So that's where I stopped.

But yeah, all the new stuff I've seen so far, and the way the game tutorials you now, is really good - some more so in concept (example, wiring needs some - in the truest sense of the word - straightening out of it's jaggedness), but others just outright already.

Just fix it already, this shouldn't have been released in this state outside of the beta / experimental branch...!

Addendum: Caution with save files
My post from here

I'm pretty sure you can accidentally delete your BEYOND savegame with pre-BEYOND Versions.

Example:
You created 5 new saves in BEYOND, using Slot1 to Slot5.
Then you play VISIONS, and the slots appear empty - but they are not!
Creating a new save in VISIONS could, at that point, overwrite the existing save in that slot.

As I understand it, if you have 5 empty slots and create a save in the third slot, that should actually be a Slot3 save. The game however shuffles your savegames around for whatever weird reason - meaning when you load, that Slot3 will have slipped into the Slot1 position (interface only, not the actual Slot!).

When creating a new game:
Slot1 - EMPTY
Slot2 - EMPTY
Slot3 - New Save
Slot4 - EMPTY
Slot5 - EMPTY

When loading that game:
Slot3 - New Save
Slot1 - EMPTY
Slot2 - EMPTY
Slot4 - EMPTY
Slot5 - EMPTY

The last played / saved game will be at the very top, always.
So if you used Slot1 in BEYOND, and it doesn't show up to the VISIONS version, you could potentially overwrite your Slot1 BEYOND save if you're not careful and create a Slot1 save in the same (seemingly empty) Slot in VISIONS.

I didn't test that theory, though.
