I'm almost at my wits' end with this problem:

Upon loading either a new game, or an old save; my character model is missing, except for the blue light of the multitool, as well as some of the terrain (even creatures are half-loaded).

I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, verifying installation, even updating my video drivers; but no luck at all. Same issue.
I've sent a ticket to HelloGames, so hopefully I hear something back. But I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.

Before the Beyond update, it ran perfectly.

I'm running it on Windows 10 Home, with an AMD Radeon RX 580

So, unless the minimum specs went up; I have no idea why it's acting this way.

I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks :)

#disclaimer: I haven't updated yet. I am, however, trying to keep an eye on the forums & subreddits (mostly to know when it's safe to jump in. ;-)

The following is mentioned in the Steam thread "Infinite Loading Screen" and has been reported there and on r/NoMansSkyTheGame as helping both the load times and textures issues. There may be other side effects on your system so be careful and don't run it on the same machine that's controllnig the nuclear power plant in the backyard.
----
Search for "cmd" in your windows search bar. Right click it, and run as admin. Paste each command in one at a time, run them, then restart.

bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock

bcdedit /deletevalue tscsyncpolicy

bcdedit /deletevalue disabledynamictick

This fixed 10-15 minute load times as well as invisible planets for me.

Try this out. This was found by bored222 on steam.
----

Reportedly, you can reverse these by "bcdedit /set useplatformclock true" etc. Discussions indicate to expect that one or more of the commands above will result in an error, presumably because the referenced key did not exist on the system. A reboot is required.

Use at your own risk. Don't drink and drive. Objects in mirror are closer than they appear. That noise was not the cat.

Seems to have fixed the issue. :)

Thank you so much! I thought I'd looked everywhere, but it seems I missed that.

I appreciate it so much :)
