thekersy100: so with the new patch, i'm playing again for the first time in 2 years and i suddenly find a few outdated technologies in my inventories. i play on a laptop and don't use a standard mouse, and have discovered the only way to discard the OTs is by clicking the middle mouse button. due to the no keymapping issue, i'm not sure if there's any other way i can get rid of them. i don't like using mods. any and all advice welcome, please and thanks.
I believe those outdated Techs can be used in game to research stuff quickly so dont get rid of them..
your problem about the middle mouse button is huge tho.. sadly you require a middle mouse button at the moment.. since we cant rebind keys till they decide its worth fixing..
Honestly i would suggest starting a new game and playing a fresh save.. the Start of the game has changed dramatically and is worth checking out.. however at one point in the "tutorial" you will need the middle mouse button to pick up a refinery or portable scanner (cant remeber which maybe both even) and you'l be stuck trying to progress
If possible maybe see if you can find a cheap mouse with a middle button not ideal but sadly as i said right now you require one..
other alternative is maybe some software like AutoHotKey and bind a keyboard button as middle mouse not sure if thats possible or not but i know AHK has alot of cool features like that ive never had to use it since Logitech Gaming Software basically does similar functions and i require it anyway for my G13
