on gog galaxy, under no man"s sky click more next to the play button
go down to "other" and there is a "no man's sky OpenVR" link
I cant try this with my vive or anything yet ( still at work) but good luck to any gog user that wants to try the vr.

Doesn’t work here, empty SteamVR environment on the HMD and no VR-related options whatsoever ingame. (Oculus)

Yes, other games work through OpenVR / SteamVR.

Edit: starting Oculus first, then manually starting SteamVR, then starting the game works for now.

Nothing here either. Can't start it through Galaxy in OpenVR mode since I'm using the new Galaxy beta, the option isn't there (at least I didn't find in)

Added the game as a non-steam game in Steam. It detects it just fines as "No Man's Sky (Open VR)" but it launches the regular game and nothing happens in SteamVR (It's targeted at the correct exe, %installdir%\Binaries\NMS.exe.)

//edit: using my Oculus

You need to add parameters "-HmdEnable 1", like this:

NMS.exe -HmdEnable 1
Yep, that worked, thanks.
I was just about to edit my post again to ask if anyone knows the correct params since I realized it's the same exe. Was under the impression it was a different one. Thanks again!

Thanks, searched but haven't looked in other ...
OpenVR using a Valve Index starting without problems :-) and it's very nice and sharp looking (compared to the PSVR version).
So now I have to figure out, why the Mining laser is directed in the wrong direction and how to move the mining laser with a normal controller (DS4).

BTW: how to disable the monitor mirror?

EDIT: Mining laser

So how to disable the monitor mirror?
I think that is application based, so nms would have to have an option to disable it if it can be done
Is there a list of all supported VR headsets?

i believe there are some things in the patchnotes, but it looks like that are covering about all the vr headsets, vive, occulus and and windows mixed reality. looks like the oc is using the steam vr. so you will need the compatiblity patch if you use steam vr with windows mixed reality (in theory it should all work for that) but i havent seen anyone reply who uses windows mixed reality with NMS yet

Windows mixed reality. sound cool, since I can find one for like $200.
