ye it's running through galaxy but i'm getting a cannot alter terain bug
dam though it's hard ,i died 3 times at the start , the experdition is running in survival mode

This has been an issue since initial release in August 2016. You can search for more detailed discussions but the short answer is that for stand-alone GOG has to do some coding so it may take a business day or two in their time zone before the stand-alone installers are updated although there are also times when both online and stand-alone are updated at the same time plus a few times over the years that the stand-alone installers for some patches never were released.

GOG support provided that explanation in these forums back in the fall of 2016.

Yea, I've seen discussion on it over the years, but thought it was getting better. Thanks for the info.. much appreciated!

While I definitely don't know exactly what all they have to do internally to post a patch, there is no real coding happening to create the patch. For context, I have been creating delta patches for 30 plus years. Creating a delta patch is not done by hand. It's an automated process. On a game this size it would take 15 minutes on a 15 year old computer. Then that has to be posted here etc. The only difference in difficulty between the stand-alone/delta patch and the Galaxy patch is posting it on the download page which also should be automated. There are "reasons" for it being delayed but there is no technical reason for it.

i think it's because it's supposed to be a multiplayer experience (although i'm playing with multiplayer off )
for anyone not knowing the leviathan update is up and working on Gog Galaxy (although it needs patching)

The last several updates including the one posted now were released during/with an expedition, so I don't know how that is relevant. Also, I can still do multiplayer and patch using stand-alone patches.
