The game will not play, all I can get to is the Logo Screen, and stops.
Iv'e tried running as adminstrator to no avail. Iv'e been going through G.O.G. and have uninstalled 4 times.
They won't let me re-install 1.38 ??
The first time I tried I got to run the game for an half-hour. Looked GREAT but lost my life twice, and lost
my ship! ended the game with no save!

Could you post your PC specs?

Well you did get it to run. So that is a start. Specs might help and a more clear description of what is actually happening and where and how (exactly) it is failing.

I had an issue after one of the updates which ended up being related to not having the latest version of Open GL installed. Once i had that installed the loading screen scrolling starfields worked fine and went through to the starting game screens. So check the game requirements for this and see what version you have installed (most GPU utilities like GPU-Z will give you this info etc).

You could also try deleting your shader cache folder for NMS, that gets rebuilt each time so is safe to delete and can sometimes solve issues.
